In my opinion, ad banners can be annoying. They can also provide a lucrative income. Close to every website I visit, there tends to be various different banners to click. Many of them are misleading as I have clicked on them in the past and the landing page is completely unrelated which can be a little irritating. I recall seeing a banner which announced that it was possible to win a smart phone. When I clicked on the link it was a scam. I tend to be very selective on the banners that I click on. I mainly click on ones that are connected with well known brands. I intend to develop a website and have lots of advertising banners. It is a great way to generate an income stream. As long as the banners are interesting and sincere, I think banners have a place in society. They do have the ability to brighten up a website.
